NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST EQUIPMENT

Proceq - Portable Test Equipment

Proceq, founded 60 years ago, manufactures high-quality portable testing instruments for the non-destructive testing of material properties of metal, concrete, rock, paper and composites. Proceq designs and manufactures its products in Switzerland and with its in-house Research and Development team continues to bring products to the market that set new standards for the industry.  Interplant distribute their entire range of test equipment - see below for further details.

Concrete Test Equipment

Proceq is a global leader in the development and distribution of portable, non destructive concrete test equipment that enables contractors to improve their performance while lowering their costs for on-site investigations of concrete properties.

With the Profometer PM-6 and the Canin+, Proceq presents an ideally matched package solution for the location and analysis of reinforcing bars in the concrete: after getting a clear picture of the reinforcement of the concrete with the rebar detection equipment the user is able to examine the corrosion potential with the corrosion analyzing equipment. With the Profoscope, Proceq combined a rebar detector and a concrete cover meter into one fully integrated, cordless instrument that stands out from traditional test equipment through its unique real-time rebar visualization. Proceq invented the OriginalSchmidt hammer, the world’s first and most widely used test equipment for concrete strength properties. The latest generation of test hammers, the SilverSchmidt ST/PC provides unmatched repeatability and combines the best of the OriginalSchmidt test equipment with state-of-the art technology.

Proceq continues the success story of the famous Pundit family with the Pundit PL-200/PE, the most versatile ultrasonic test equipment for concrete, featuring waveform analysis and full on-site control of all transmission parameters.

Metal Hardness Testing

The inventor of the Leeb rebound technique has put its many years of experience into the development of the famous Equotip – Proceq’s product family for metal hardness testing. Proceq revolutionized the market in 1975 when it launched the first Equotip.

The newest generation, Equotip 3, is unmatched in its implementation of the portable metal hardness testing concept and has therefore become established as a globally recognized measuring technique.

The Equotip Piccolo 2 and Bambino 2 are both suited for on-site hardness checks of metals where the test indentation should be as small as possible. The Equotip Piccolo 2 offers the same features for metal hardness testing, but offers additionally user defined hardness conversions and the Proceq invented software Piccolink

The Equostat is ideal for the testing of light, thin-walled or tubular parts and is rounding of Proceq’s metal hardness testing portfolio.

Roll Hardness

Out of round rolls and other defects such as corrugations caused by non-uniform roll hardness profiles are a major cause of lost production for both producers and converters alike. A reliable measurement of the roll hardness profile is of critical importance in deciding whether a roll is good or bad. Proceq’s instruments give the production staff the support they need to test quickly and reliably the roll hardness and to interpret the results as efficiently as possible.

The PaperSchmidt is the first rebound hammer designed specifically for paper roll hardness testing.

The Parotester provides accurate and reliable evaluations of the roll hardness of foil and film where a lower impact energy is required.

Rock testing

Proceq instruments are widely used  in applications for non-destructive testing of rock properties. For example: On site assessment of rock strength for drilling productivity assessment with a RockSchmidt rebound hammer. Characterization of surface hardness for weathering studies using either a RockSchmidt or  Equotip device. Characterization of rocks  and determination of elastic modulus with the Pundit PL-200 ultrasonic pulse velocity instrument. Correlation of rock hardness measurements with other parameters for core analysis using the Equotip instrument.

Equotip3

The Equotip 3 provides a lower impact energy than the rebound hammer for  fragile test subjects or brittle samples such as the sandstone surface seen here.

RockSchmidt

The RockSchmidt rebound hammer combines unmatched accuracy in determination of surface hardness, with the possibility to implement user defined correlations to compressive strength.

Pundit PL-200

The Pundit PL-200 ultrasonic test instrument may be used for characterisation of rocks. When using both P&S wave transducers, it may be used to determine the elastic modulus of rock samples.

Carboteq
Composites Testing

Carboteq® - High precision wear indication of carbon ceramic brake discs

Carboteq is the world’s first instrument for  high precision wear indication of carbon ceramic brake discs. Owners of race and high performance cars can now expect equally high performance brake disc wear testing during servicing.
The patented instrument is based on pulse-induction technology using a specific arrangement of inductive coils and advanced signal analysis to measure accurately the wear and  to compensate for influences of material characteristics and brake disc geometries.
The integrated laser module ensures the Carboteq instrument is always placed exactly at the right spot to read the pre-engraved Carboteq value on the brake discs. Carboteq outperforms all existing measuring methods in terms of repeatability and accuracy.
